Growing up, I was always drawn to animals although we didn’t have any pets at home. After adopting our first family dog in my early teens, I knew I wanted to work with animals.  I found my calling in veterinary medicine during a high school co-op at a local veterinary clinic. I have proudly called Preston Animal Clinic my second home since 2011 after graduating from Ridgetown College with a certificate in Veterinary Assistant and Office Administration. Known as a “jack of all trades” here at Preston, I can be found all over the clinic; greeting clients in the front office as part of the client care team, running tech appointments and assisting the veterinarians, and as a part of the management team.

Outside of the clinic I enjoy cooking, reading and spending time with my family. I love camping in the summer and following the NHL in the winter. I share my home with my partner, stepdaughter and young baby girl. We have 4 fur babies: 2 dogs, a rabbit and a cat. We have also enjoyed fostering dogs with Pound Dog rescue since 2021. 

Every day is still exciting and there is always an opportunity to learn something new. I thoroughly enjoy building relationships with clients and their pets. I strive to provide clear, engaging, and compassionate client service and education. Working at an exotic clinic is especially rewarding as I get to share my love and knowledge of rabbits with their owners. And if you have an Australian Shepherd you will likely get to know me quickly, as I am never far away when there is an Aussie in the building!
