I knew that I wanted to devote my life to helping animals thanks to a chance encounter with a stray black kitten as a young child. Even though we didn't end up keeping that animal as a family pet, the experience left an impression on me and I believe had a big hand in eventually steering me towards veterinary medicine as a career path.

I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2013 and after a brief time working in Kitchener, I was fortunate enough to find myself at Preston Animal Clinic.

Not having had much prior exposure to "non-traditional" species (reptiles, avian, small mammals) during my school years, I was looking forward to the opportunity to expand my knowledge base and provide care for some of these less common companions.

Almost 9 years later, I still find myself enjoying the variety of daily clinical practice as well as some of the unique challenges that present themselves. Even though I have transitioned into a management role at the clinic, there are some things that haven't changed: I still feel privileged to work with the amazing group of individuals who make up the PAC team, and I continue to find fulfillment in helping our clients and their amazing companions lead happy & healthy lives!

Outside of work, I like to travel, read, and spend time with friends and family, including my husband, young daughter and our Golden Doodle rescue "Ruby".
